  •      Is anyone out there in xanga land?!!! I know it has been 4ever since i have posted, & i'm trying to think of what excuse i can use this time, but what's the point? I just didn't feel like it i guess! We are having lovely fall weather, leaves are beautiful and it has been a gorgeous day!  I did my 2 miles outside instead of on the treadmill, which is refreshing. I want to get our christmas pic's done while the leaves are in full color. I decided this year i am going to get mine done early, hopefully! I hate all the last minute stuff and last year it didn't happen until after the first of the year. So i am hoping i can get our photographer lined up for this wkend. So how about it Janel, you busy?

I am not even going to try to recap the last few months, i wouldn't know where to start. So i am just going to pick up from here. Life is good! Pete has been staying really busy these last few mths building barns and what not!  We have been so blessed, i know there are people out there that still don't have work with the economy the way it is. We are still planning on back surgery for Pete this winter, we want to wait until work slows down. Which generally, winter usually slows it down. Its hard to believe winter is not that far off. Where did our summer go??

Well i'm going to sign off, i need to get supper made for my husband. He deserves a good hot supper when he gets in from his hard days work!  have a good wk!

  •         What a wonderful, wonderful day! Its 65 and the sun is shining beautifully! It is absolutely awesome out there! When i am done here i am going to go mow the yard! yay!! i always enjoyed mowing and am excited to get started working in the yard again! Another thing i am so happy about is we finally got a storage building. Pete had one up at his parents, they were not sure if it would survive the move, but decided to at least try. And it made it!!! With a little tlc it is looking good. Pete is fixing it up, replacing trim and stuff like that. We have no storage in our house or outside for that matter. We had put some stuff in Anthonys shop but he needs that space too. So we are really happy to finally have a place to put tools and the storage stuff. Maybe now i can have a spare bedroom, since that was my storage! Today i finished up my old church pew i redone. I am so happy with it. I'll post some pics to show you all when i get a chance. I painted it black then i brushed a red color on it, then brushed a black over that lightly so the red shines thru it a little. It gives it a distressed look. It turned out great i am really happy with it! I am going to put it on my front porch. Well i've got to get my yard done! Hope everyone has a great wk!

  •          Isn't it crazy that another year is behind us?! Where did it go? It kind of scares me how fast time is going. I remember when i was younger people would say, that the older you get the faster time goes! I thought, whatever, but it is so true, every year it goes faster and faster! And it is scary to think "in the blink of an eye" its gone. Well, Christmas has come and gone. It was a different one for us. Christmas Eve my family went to dad's all except for Anthonys, they were in IN. We hung out there until like 1:30 playing games and talking. Christmas day everyone else was at the inlaws so it was just going to be dads and us. My aunt Barb called and invited us to their family gathering at Marvin and Laura's house. Joe and Gina were in from PA so we got to see them for a little bit there. We were not able to be there very long, since we had Pete's family gathering Christmas evening. Then my family had our Christmas on New Years day. It was a little scattered but it was good. The best part of all is that my Grandma Weaver is here, she came New Years eve and is staying for a couple of wks. I always envy people that live near there grand parents id love to live close enough to Grandma to help her out when she needed it. We are really soaking up the time we have with her. I love to just sit and talk to her and we have been playing a lot of games with her too. I am so happy for mom because she has dreamed of this for such a long time. Grandma lives in Michigan and is amish so its not that easy for her to come down here.

My husband had a fit i didn't send out any Christmas cards this year. Christmas snuck up on me this year, Every thing about Christmas came on me too fast this year! So i decided to do New Years cards instead. So watch your mailbox's!

We went to the Dr on Friday about Petes back. Whether it is next wk or a couple of years from now, surgery is def in the future its just a matter of when. He has a hair line fracture in his back. There is a main bone (i don't know the technical terms for it, so i am using everyday language that we all under ) that since he had the fusion in his back is doing all the work/taking the brunt of it all and that is where there is a hairline fracture. So they'd like to take out the 11" rods and replace them with shorter ones and fuse that fracture in as well. Its a pretty extensive surgery, as well as recovery, probably will take months he said. So we are trying out a few things to try and hold it at bay as long as we can, he got us a special back brace and wants us to try Physical Therapy also. So i guess we'll see what happens.

I don't have many pictures because for some reason the pics got erased  but i do have a couple of my husband and i ...........

    PICT0015

DSC01019 i get to enjoy this every night, him and his guitar!

Why does the colors on my site look so different on others computers. I changed my colors to red and tan, i was over at dads and was on the computer and on theirs it looks like pink and mauve. Not pretty! On Roses that is what it looks like too! What is up with that?! Well hope everyone has a great wk!

  •          Well i might as well tackle the much needed update! Life is really busy, as usual, this time of year. Woke up this morning to ice, so schools, work and everything else is canceled. In a sense its kind of nice gives us a lazy day at home, but then i think of everything i have to do yet this wk and it throws me off a little. I started out with having to clean 7 houses (one down 6 to go) this wk plus am helping with ladys tea party/cookie exchange at church, on Wed night, and the youth Christmas banquet on Thurs night, then on Fri night is the school Christmas program plus in the mean time i need to go to dads and finish up a little painting b4 the banquet because we are having it in their basement. I'm hoping the roads will clear up later today so i can go and do that. Have not had a chance to make any candy yet. Usually we all get together and dedicate a day to making all kinds of goodies, i so hope we'll have a chance maybe this wkend. Its not christmas without making candy, is it?! Can hardly believe Christmas is next wk. Its pretty easy to get into the Christmas spirit when you go to the Christmas parades & walk thru Bethleham. I love this time of year. Even tho i have not done a bit of shopping  i'm sure most people are done already, i know what i want and where to get it so it won't take me long to get it accomplished. Its not like i have alot of people to buy for either.

The other wkend we went to Nashville for our Anniversary. We had such a good time, didn't do much of anything  just lazed around, we went shopping, Cheesecake factory, Carrabba's. We just had fun being together. Thats what its all about isn't it?!

A little run down on things since i last updated. Lets see...... the big thing was that my little brother Paul was ordained into the ministry. That was hard to watch beings he is only 24 yrs and he's my baby brother. He and Bev have 2 children Taylor is 3 and Bryson just turned 1. Paul has already had his first message and he did so good. I am really proud of him! As hard as it was to watch him be ordained id still rather have him be in God's will, than run and face the consequences. We were looking at buying a house, we have the loan and found a place that needed a little work, it was a 2 bedroom 1 bath house and 23 acres. Really cute. Great location and all. Its a foreclosure so we got a really good deal on it. But the more we got to thinking, we feel like we really need to do something about Pete's back. In 2002 he fell out of a deer stand and broke his back in 2 places, so he has 2 rod's in his back. He is in constant pain that he has learned to pretty much live with. But it seems to be getting worse. And it limits his ability to work. So we have an appointment on Fri (another thing on my list for this wk) in Nashville. In the past Drs have told him he might have to get the rods taken out or maybe get the scar tissue cut away they feel like that is probably the cause of his pain. We are really anxious to see what he says on Fri. So now, us buying a place is on hold, we feel like we need to get his back fixed while we can, b4 we have a mortgage pyment. It would be awesome if he would be pain free. As hard as it is to let that place go, it would be harder to loose it if we couldn't make the pymnts, if he couldn't work.

Well i need to run and get a few things done around here! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
