Well i might as well tackle the much needed update! Life is really busy, as usual, this time of year. Woke up this morning to ice, so schools, work and everything else is canceled. In a sense its kind of nice gives us a lazy day at home, but then i think of everything i have to do yet this wk and it throws me off a little. I started out with having to clean 7 houses (one down 6 to go) this wk plus am helping with ladys tea party/cookie exchange at church, on Wed night, and the youth Christmas banquet on Thurs night, then on Fri night is the school Christmas program plus in the mean time i need to go to dads and finish up a little painting b4 the banquet because we are having it in their basement. I'm hoping the roads will clear up later today so i can go and do that. Have not had a chance to make any candy yet. Usually we all get together and dedicate a day to making all kinds of goodies, i so hope we'll have a chance maybe this wkend. Its not christmas without making candy, is it?! Can hardly believe Christmas is next wk. Its pretty easy to get into the Christmas spirit when you go to the Christmas parades & walk thru Bethleham. I love this time of year. Even tho i have not done a bit of shopping
i'm sure most people are done already, i know what i want and where to get it so it won't take me long to get it accomplished. Its not like i have alot of people to buy for either.
The other wkend we went to Nashville for our Anniversary. We had such a good time, didn't do much of anything just lazed around, we went shopping, Cheesecake factory, Carrabba's. We just had fun being together. Thats what its all about isn't it?!
A little run down on things since i last updated. Lets see...... the big thing was that my little brother Paul was ordained into the ministry. That was hard to watch beings he is only 24 yrs and he's my baby brother. He and Bev have 2 children Taylor is 3 and Bryson just turned 1. Paul has already had his first message and he did so good. I am really proud of him! As hard as it was to watch him be ordained id still rather have him be in God's will, than run and face the consequences. We were looking at buying a house, we have the loan and found a place that needed a little work, it was a 2 bedroom 1 bath house and 23 acres. Really cute. Great location and all. Its a foreclosure so we got a really good deal on it. But the more we got to thinking, we feel like we really need to do something about Pete's back. In 2002 he fell out of a deer stand and broke his back in 2 places, so he has 2 rod's in his back. He is in constant pain that he has learned to pretty much live with. But it seems to be getting worse. And it limits his ability to work. So we have an appointment on Fri (another thing on my list for this wk) in Nashville. In the past Drs have told him he might have to get the rods taken out or maybe get the scar tissue cut away they feel like that is probably the cause of his pain. We are really anxious to see what he says on Fri. So now, us buying a place is on hold, we feel like we need to get his back fixed while we can, b4 we have a mortgage pyment. It would be awesome if he would be pain free. As hard as it is to let that place go, it would be harder to loose it if we couldn't make the pymnts, if he couldn't work.
Well i need to run and get a few things done around here! Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!
